How do our price reductions work?

We want to make the price change as easy and clear for you as we can.

That's why we want you to know exactly how much you are paying in comparison to the energy price cap.

How do we calculate the reductions? 

Every three months, Ofgem review the price cap which impacts the price you pay for electricity and gas. 

So we can continue to give you the best price for your energy, we apply certain reductions to your prices so they sit below the price cap as shown in the table below.

You can see that the following reductions have been applied to your bills: 

- 50% off the January 2024 gas standing charge (29.60÷2=14.80)

- Frozen elec standing charge from July 2023 (52.97)

- 3% drop in elec unit rates (28.62×0.03=0.8586, 28.62-0.8586=27.76)
