What is a smart meter?
We have partnered with SMS to roll out SMETS2 meters to our customers. SMS will be working to contact interested customers and arrange smart meter installs – if you would like to have a smart meter installed, please contact us and we can arrange to have a meter installed, subject to availability in your area.
If you already have a 2nd generation smart meter (SMETS2), we will attempt to connect to your meter on sign-up or, if you are already a customer, we will be in contact regarding connecting to your smart meter.
If you have a first generation smart meter (SMETS1) then we will be in contact as soon as we can connect to your meter – SMETS1 meters are subject to changes being made remotely (no need for an engineer visit) and is not something we have any control over but, rest assured, we will be in contact as soon as we are able to connect to your meter.
How do I get one?
You should get in touch with our team to get a smart meter installed. it's a quick process and we'll just need a couple of details before we can confirm the slot.
Once an appointment with our partner company SMS plc has been confirmed, the engineers will arrive on the appointment date and complete the meter exchange within a few hours. You will also be given a brand new In-Home Display device to see all your real-time energy data!
