I have a SMART meter, will I need to submit any readings?
If you have a SMART meter installed in your home, you will not have to submit any meter readings as these will be provided to us automatically.
However, it is important to check that they have definitely been submitted which you can easily check on the Outfox the Market app.
I don't have a SMART meter, what should I do?
If you don't have a SMART meter, we ask that you submit a reading just before you go away so we are able to bill you from this point instead.
If possible, we do appreciate it if you can get in touch and let us know that you will be doing this so we can prepare everything in advance, leaving you stress-free during your down-time.
What if I forget to submit a reading before I go away?
Don't worry, even if you haven't submitted a reading and you no longer can until you're back, we will base your most recent bill on estimates that we provide you at the start of each year.
We calculate estimates so if a situation like this arises, we can still bill you to a figure that is close to your actual usage.
If in the slim chance your bill has been over or underestimated, you can get in touch once you are back via email or freephone with your actual reads and our customer care team will be more than happy to get your latest statement rebilled.
